常々気になっていたんです。
しま「じろう」ってことは、しまじろうってお兄ちゃんがいるのかな？と。
んで、Wikipedia(こればっかだな(笑))で調べてみたところ、兄弟ははなちゃんという妹がいるだけ。
じゃあ何故「じろう」なんだ？ と思ったが、なんと、お父さんがしまたろうというらしい。
父親が「たろう」だからって、長男が「じろう」って、ちょっと苦しくないでしょうか・・・？(^_^;
決まりがあるわけではありませんが、素直に受け入れられませんでした。

長男なのに、昭二という方がいらっしゃいました。
昭和二年生まれだからだそうです。
二男なのに理三郎という人は、単に神主さんが、縁起の良い名前だと付けてくれたそうです。
